Ready to ditch the dock and cruise the waves?Of course you are, and there are ways to make sure you make the most of your time on the water by preparing the checked items on the list below. You don't want to miss out on any action shots - make sure you bring a waterproof camera. You don't have to break the bank for a digital waterproof camera case or a GoPro, you can simply pick up a disposable kodak film camera. It's easy to develop and scan the photos once you get back home. Make sure at least one person brings a fully charged cell phone on to the boat. It's important just in case of emergencies. If you are nervous about getting your cell or any other pieces of technology wet, bring a zip lock bag to store it in. This will prevent water damage, even from accidental small splashes from the boat. No matter where you are on the boat, sometimes getting splashed is unpreventable. Bring a change of dry clothes just in case, in order to avoid uncomfortable, wet clothes. It would be a good idea to bring extra towels just in case. Better dry than sorry! :) One of the upmost important things to have aboard your boat is a waterproof first aid kit. Accidents can happen and you want to be prepared. Double check you are always stocked up on motion sickness medicine - your passengers will thank you. First Aid Kit Tip: Upgrade your first aid kit by adding in insect repellent, lip balm with SPF, and sunscreen. If you are planning on fishing, bring an extra cooler to store your catch in. It's always nice to clean up after handling bait, keep hand sanitized wipes and paper towels handy to make your life easier. Grab a wide brimmed hat or a baseball cap to protect your face from excessive sun exposure. Bring a pair of sunglasses but make sure they fit snug on your face to avoid losing them. On that note, leave your favorite hat and shades at home. It's easy to lose things when the wind is blowing and the waves are crashing. Being in the sunshine and swimming in the water can exert a lot of your energy. Bring dry snacks like granola bars, chips or jerky to stay energized. Stay hydrated by keeping plenty of water bottles stored on the boat. Have a fun, safe time on your next planned adventure!Your friend,Kay-Tee
